Jesse James Talks About His Future

Fight On State catches up with Penn State 2012 TE commit Jesse James about his summer plans and an important decision the South Allegheny prospect will make soon.

McKeesport, Pa., standout TE Jesse James has stepped out of the spotlight since his commitment to Penn State in late March.

"My summer has been good so far," James said. "I'll probably get to a couple more 7 on 7's before summer is over."

He added, "I am not sure which ones though."

There are a few other things that James is trying to accomplish this summer.

"I am trying to get up to Penn State as much as possible," James said.

James knew from the moment that the Lions offered him that he was destined to wear Blue and White -- perhaps sooner rather than later.

"I talk to Coach Bradley pretty often," James said. "I hope to graduate early and go up to Penn State for spring ball."

Enrolling early for James isn't set in stone, but he hopes to figure out his plan soon.

"I will know soon," James said. "Probably the middle to end of July because I am taking an english class now, then in fall I have to take is math and electives."

Another thing he will decide soon, is what major he will pursue at Penn State.

"I am not sure right now," James said of a choice of major. "I am thinking kinesiology or engineering."

But one thing is for sure, James is ready to officially join Nittany Nation.

"I can't wait to get up there," James said.
