Wolford was amazed by Notre Dame

Class of 2014 quarterback John Wolford has programs from across the country hoping to get him on campus. Notre Dame had the luxury of hosting the young signal caller at camp. We touched base with Wolford following his trip to South Bend.

IrishEyes.com noted in mid-June the hopes Jacksonville (FL) Bishop Kenny High School quarterback John Wolford had to camp at Notre Dame. Now, after having a chance to catch his wind, the young signal caller talks about his camp experience with the Irish.

How was your time at Notre Dame?

"It was awesome. I love the place and it was a great experience."

How did you feel you performed?

"I did very well. I'm going to be a sophomore and they moved me up to work with the juniors. I got the chance to speak with Coach Molnar and Coach Alford. I also got to meet Coach Kelly."

What are your thoughts on the program and University now that you've had a chance to think about it?

"They (coaches) are all great guys. Notre Dame is a great football organization and they really know what they are doing up there.

"Everything was amazing. The campus was amazing. Touchdown Jesus, the Golden Dome, the stadium, we got to walk all around campus and the dorms and things like that. Notre Dame is a one of a kind place."

What if anything did the Notre Dame coaches tell you about their interest?

"They said they knew about me and had seen my highlight film. They said they are interested and Coach Molnar sat and watched me throw. Coach Alford recruits Florida and he said he'll be keeping an eye on me over the next three years."
