Fuller is a Gamecock

South Carolina picked up its second wide receiver commitment in the last three days Friday night when Sun Valley (Monroe, N.C.) three-star WR Jody Fuller committed to the Gamecocks on ESPNU. Fuller chose South Carolina over offers from Clemson, Miami, North Carolina, NC State, Tennessee and Virginia Tech among others.

The 6-foot, 200-pound Fuller picked up his first offer from Jay Graham and the Gamecocks during the 2010 spring. From there, his recruitment picked up steam but the Gamecocks have always thought to have been the clear favorite for the three-star prospect.

Fuller has taken multiple visits to campus and has an excellent relationship with Graham and wide receivers coach Steve Spurrier, Jr.

South Carolina is thought to sign three or four wide receivers in the 2012 class. The Gamecocks landed a verbal from Dillon (S.C.) WR Kwinton Smith earlier this week and are the long-time favorite for five-star Lexington (S.C.) WR Shaq Roland.

Fuller is the Gamecocks' 12th commitment of the 2012 class and third from the state of North Carolina. Graham landed Western Guilford (Greensboro, N.C.) twins Brock and Clayton Stadnik in May.
