Redmond Says There's A Team To Beat
Will Redmond recently watched some of his highly ranked peers in Tennessee pull the trigger and commit to Vanderbilt. Redmond didn't commit to Vandy along with Brian Kimbrow and company, but that doesn't mean the Commodores don't still have a chance.
"I still like Vandy and they are in my top five," Redmond said. "I just wasn't ready to commit with everyone else."
Instead, Redmond will wait until he feels the time is right. He is still taking some visits and camping to see about grabbing some more offers.
Regardless, one school sits atop Redmond's list as the current team to beat.
"North Carolina is an amazing place. I loved my visit there and they are the team out in front of the others. I talked to the players there and they were people I could see myself really getting to know and talking to. The coaches are great there too and it could be a great opportunity for me."
Despite his strong feelings about North Carolina, Redmond can't seem to get Mississippi State out of his head. He will attend Big Dawg camp at MSU next weekend.
"I talk to coach Mirando at Mississippi State all the time. I like them a lot and they have been in my head for forever. They stay in touch with me and I talk to coach Mullen once a week. I'm getting pumped for Big Dawg."
Both Georgia and Alabama are not in Redmond's top five because he doesn't have an offer from either one. Still, if he is able to get those offers, he tells us not to be surprised if one or both schools slip into his top five list.
"My mom and I have always liked Georgia. We watched Georgia even when I was a little kid. It would be amazing to get an offer from UGA. I'm really excited to get to camp there and show them what I can do."
Alabama presents a similar goal for Redmond:
"I just want to get to camp there at Alabama and show them why they should offer me."
