Meadows Impresses at Camp

Lakota West (Ohio) 2013 OT Kyle Meadows is an athletic prospect with great upside, and a couple of BCS schools got to see that at camp.

Lakota West's Kyle Meadows is a 6'6, 285-lb offensive tackle who is one of the state's best for the 2013 class.

This summer, he camped at Ohio State, Bowling Green and Alabama and got his recruitment kick started after those performances.

"Mainly Ohio State," he said of his recruitment. "I have a lot of stuff from everyone else, but I'm mainly talking to Ohio State right now. I went there earlier in June. They said I did really well. I got recognized as one of the best offensive linemen at the camp."

Alabama landed one of his former teammates, Ryan Kelly, last year, and are showing interest in Meadows as well.

"My coach recommended that I go to their camp and Coach Sunseri said it would be a great opportunity. I really loved it. I like how they put in work and they said the same thing as Ohio State: I have great footwork, hips, and keep it up."

Meadows admits that his familiarity with Ohio State and his interactions with the coaches has them as his top choice and he is hoping for the opportunity to play there.

"I've been going to that camp for two years now, so I'm really good with their camp and Coach Bollman. They look for me to go every year. I'm hoping to get a scholarship and an offer, but they like me going up there and are excited to see me play."
