NC State made Marietta (GA) Lassiter wideout Charlie Hegedus a priority following their summer camps in June, and Hegedus committed to the Wolfpack today.

"I called a few minutes ago and committed to NC State," said Hegedus. "The coaches were excited. Whenever I went up on my visits the coaches always made me feel at home, and I feel comfortable there. Plus, I have a teammate going there with me and a good friend. It's a good fit for me."

Hegedus also held offers from Rice, Air Force, Toledo, Buffalo, and Purdue.

He attended a camp at NC State in early June and earned the offer from the Wolfpack. Since the trip he made another unofficial visit and hopes to do so again in the near future.

"I may go up this weekend for a visit," he said. "I also know I'll be going to games this year."

Hegedus, who checks in at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, ran a 4.45 on grass at NC State's camp. As a junior, he totaled 42 catches for 675 yards and nine touchdowns.

He is a current teammate of NC State commitment Niles Clark and Wolfpack starting center Camdent Wentz also played at Lassiter.

Pack Pride will have more from Hegedus on his decision in the near future so stay tuned!
