Austintown Fitch (OH) HS is filled with top-level, Division I athletes. Newcomer Billy Aaron is no exception. The junior has already picked up his first offer, coming from a school that has recently picked up two of his teammates.
"I know a lot about Pittsburgh just from seeing the Davis twins go there. I went a couple times and loved it. A couple weeks ago I visited and they sat me down and said they were going to offer me."
Not only is Aaron familiar with the Panthers because his teammates, Demitrious Davis and Chris Davis, just committed there, but he also grew up a fan.
"All of my family is from Pittsburgh, so when they offered that was really big. I grew up watching them play."
While Aaron is usually listed as a safety, he says he prefers to play on the other side of the ball.
"I love running the ball, so my biggest strength is offense. But I'll play wherever coach puts me. I just want to help the team out."
Aside from Pittsburgh, the junior also attended camps at Toledo, West Virginia and Kent State, but has spent most of his summer working on his speed and agility.
"I've been working on my speed tremendously. I can definitely tell from the end of last season to now. I've also been working on the things every football player tries to improve, my size and strength."
Aaron doesn't have a timeline set for when he'll make his decision but plans on just waiting it out and seeing what happens.
