Stancil Commits to Buffalo

Cosby High (Chesterfield,Va) defensive standout CJ Stancil verbally commits to Buffalo.

Following a second unofficial visit to Buffalo yesterday, Chesterfield (VA) C.J. Stancil made his decision.

"I based my decision to attend the University of Buffalo on several factors; academics, coaching staff and the family atmosphere."

Stancil, a speedy 5-foot-11, 185-pound cornerback and running back for Cosby High, carries a 4.32 grade point average.

"Buffalo is a top 50 University, and for my major, International Business and Finance, has one of the top business schools in the world."

Buffalo was the first school to offer Stancil and has expressed a great need and interest in his services since day one.

"They made it clear from day one that I was their number one defensive back on their board. I feel they can help me rech my goals. All three DBs from last year's team signed NFL contracts."

The city of Buffalo was also a big draw for Stancil.

"Buffalo is a major city with the Buffalo Bills, and the campus has over 30,000 students, everything just felt right."

With his decision out of the way, Stancil looks forward to winning season at Cosby.

"I decided to make an early decision so that I can be 100-percent focused with my teammates on winning a Dominion District Conference Title."
