Lions Enter The Mix For LB

Penn State has become scholarship offer #12 for All-America candidate Kyle Williams.

Kyle Williams, a 6-foot-2, 219-pound, linebacker from Bolingbrook, Illinois had four scholarship offers before the Ann Arbor Nike Camp.

After a runner-up MVP performance at that camp, seven more schools have offered Williams a scholarship.

Penn State linebackers coach Ron Vanderlinden called Bolingbrook head coach John Ivlow this morning and offered Williams a scholarship. Miami offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski visited Bolingbrook High School yesterday and was very impressed with Williams on film and the Canes may offer soon.

Chudzinski says he will take Williams' film back to Miami for defensive coordinator Randy Shannon and linebackers coach Vernon Hargreaves to evaluate.

Miami could offer Williams a scholarship by the end of the week.

Southern Cal assistant coach Lane Kiffin will be in Bolingbrook on Thursday and the Trojans very well could offer Kyle a scholarship before they leave the building.

We predicted that Kyle Williams would have 25 scholarship offers by the end of the May Evaluation period and a little more than a week in, he's half way home.

Michigan State, Illinois, Iowa, Purdue, Indiana, Wisconsin, Penn State, UCLA, Oregon, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Northern Illinois have all offered Williams a scholarship.
