Jordan Watkins is down to three

Jordan Watkins has cut his list down to three. He started with over three offers and now only three schools remain in contention.

"Stanford, Georgia, and Florida are my final three and I just need to set up official visits to these schools now," Jordan Watkins told Scout minutes ago.

The 6-foot-4, 265 pound defensive lineman out of College Park (GA) Woodward Academy has eliminated Alabama, LSU, Miami, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma from his list.

Miami was in the final group until the allegations were made against them earlier this week. Alabama did not quite make the cut either.

The four-star talked about the other three and why they are no longer on the list.

LSU: "Academically they dont stand with my other choices. The probation threw me off a bit too. As you can see, there are no schools on my list that have had problems with the NCAA recently."

Oklahoma: "I've heard good things about Oklahoma and how much money they put into their journalism program, but to me, it didn't match with everyone else. On the flip hand, Oklahoma was the toughest to cut because they still are a decent academic school and of course a football powerhouse."

Notre Dame: "This one I just couldn't put my finger on. I just completely lost interest in them. They are a great academic school and historically good in football. I just began to lose interest."

Watkins plans to take his three official visits before making his decision.
