Class 5A: Prospects to watch

The high school football season kicks off next week in the state of Alabama. The ASWA released their pre-season top 10 list for each classification. Andrew Bone takes a look at the teams and top players.

Spanish Fort captured the Class 5A state championship in 2010 defeating Briarwood Christian for the title. The Toros lost a lot of talent including quarterback Ameriol Finley and center Reese Dismukes. They also lost head coach Bryant Vincent who moved on to South Alabama. Briarwood Christian will return several key starters from last year's team. Hueytown is led by five-star quarterback Jameis Winston, and they have a strong chance to make it to the state championship.
