Miami commit plans on taking other visits

Herb Waters is a talented wide receiver prospect from Homestead and he committed to Miami over the summer. Read on to see everything he's saying now.

Herb Waters helped lead his Homestead team to a win on opening night.

"We won 14-7 in our opener," Waters said. "I cramped up a lot but still had 1 catch for 5 yards, and I had 109 rush yards with a TD so it was a good start."

Waters, 6-feet and 180 pounds, committed to Miami over the summer following one of their summer camps.

"I chose Miami because they have a great tradition and close knit family and I could see myself as a part of that. It just felt like the best situation for me."

The talented receiver talked about the relationship he has with Miami.

"I stay in touch with Coach McDonald, the wide receivers coach. We have a great relationship we've became pretty close."

Despite the commitment, Waters is still being recruited by some other schools and plans on taking some other visits.

"North Carolina and UCF have called me," he said. "They know I'm committed but they're still trying to get me to visit. I plan on visiting UNC, FSU, UCF, and Louisville."

Inside the classroom Waters claims a 2.8 GPA and a 19 ACT score.
