All over for Florida DB

Travis Blanks is a standout defensive back prospect from North Florida Christian HS and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Travis Blanks had an excellent junior season in 2010 and got off to another good start in 2011.

"We won our first game this past Friday. I had an interception for a touchdown and 6 tackles. It was a good start."

Blanks, 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds, committed to Clemson earlier this year and remains strong with that decision.

"No other college coaches are still calling me. I chose Clemson because when I visited them I just felt very comfortable and at home there."

Blanks says he's developed a good relationship with one of the Tiger coaches.

"I stay in contact with Coach Harbison. We have developed a really good relationship."

With his commitment to Clemson, Blanks said the recruiting process for him is over.

"I'm not planning on taking any other official visits to different schools. I already made my decision and I'm sticking to it."

Inside the classroom Blanks claims a 3.4 GPA and a 21 ACT score.
