Florida QB names three

Shelton Willis is a standout quarterback prospect from Mainland High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Shelton Willis helped lead his team to the state playoffs last season and has started his senior season.

"We lost our first game but we moved the ball pretty good down the field. Our defense is really strong we just have to get clicking on offense."

Tonight, Willis and his Mainland teammates will take on a very good Orlando Jones team. Willis also talked about the recruiting process.

"Ball State, Temple, and Georgia Southern have been in contact with me recently," he said. "They're just calling to keep up with me, see how I'm doing and stuff."

Willis is focusing on his senior season before being able to name any single favorites.

"Right now I don't have a favorite yet, I'm just ready for a school to give me an offer. I'm focused on the season now and hopefully I can earn some offers because of it."

Willis, who has not yet scheduled any official visits, claims a 2.8 GPA and says he's waiting for his test scores to come back in.
