Florida RB getting looks

Mookie Lee is a standout running back prospect from Mainland High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Mookie Lee put his name on the recruiting map as a junior last season. While sharing time with Marlin Lane (now at Tennessee), Lee still ran for 972 yards and five touchdowns. He talked about the start of his season.

"We started out ok, we lost our first game. I played tough, I took some hits but was pleased overall on how I played. We got Jones High from Orlando up next."

Lee, 5-foot-10 and 185 pounds, talked about the latest with regards to recruiting.

"BCU, South Alabama, Iowa State, and Middle Tennessee have been calling lately," he said. "They're showing interest."

Lee isn't ready to single out any favorites just yet.

"Right now I don't have a favorite. It'll be easier to narrow it down once I visit some schools."

The standout running back is hoping to land some offers so he can begin taking visits, too.

"I don't have any official visits scheduled yet. Once I get offered from a school I'd like to go visit them."

Inside the classroom Lee claims a 2.7 GPA and a 15 ACT score.
