MSU commit off to fast start

Brandon Holloway is a standout running back prospect from Alonso High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Brandon Holloway is off to a fast start this season.

"We're doing really good -- we're 2-0," Holloway said. "We only have about 35 kids on the roster but we're all playing really hard. My last game I had 2 touchdowns on 7 carries and 106 yards, also 3 catches for 35 yards."

Holloway, 5-foot-9 and 165 pounds, committed to Mississippi State over the summer and remains that way.

"No other colleges are calling me lately. I'm all about Mississippi State."

So why the Bulldogs?

"I chose to commit to Mississippi State because I liked the coaches a lot, I also like the atmosphere of the college town and all the school spirit and pride they had- it just felt right."

The standout running back prospect said he keeps in close contact with two MSU coaches.

I talk to Coach Mullen and Coach Mirando the most, we have a great relationship I really like them as coaches."

Holloway, who says he doesn't plan on taking any other visits, claims a 4.2 GPA and a 1400 SAT score in the classroom.
