Three (or, in some cases, four) games into the high school football season, Tiger commits Will Gross of Melrose (Memphis, Tenn.) and Daniel Hurd of Wooddale (Memphis, Tenn.) are at the top of the city's statistical leader boards.
Gross, who plays quarterback for the Golden Wildcats, has thrown for 1183 yards and 14 touchdowns and leads the Shelby-Metro area in passing yards. Hurd is first among receivers in the area with 391 receiving yards.
U of M target Sam Craft of Craigmont (Memphis, Tenn.) has accounted for 17.3 points per game this season for the Chiefs. He's scored eight touchdowns and has accumulated over 400 yards in the air through three games.
