From the Road: 2013 Top Five

Recruiting Analyst Chad Simmons saw prospects from close to 30 schools in South Florida over a three day span. He saw practices, games, film, and he names his top five 2013 prospects here.

Many high schools in the Miami and Palm Beach areas received visits from Chad Simmons last week. He had his eye on many prospects of all ages and he names his Top Five juniors here.

  • Jaynard Bostwick – DL – 6-4/281 – Centennial
Quick Hitter: Big body with good mobility. Could be a three technique or play the five technique in a 3-4 front.
Recruiting: No offers yet, but they will come. He is drawing a lot of early attention.

  • Greg Bryant – RB – 5-10/200 – American Heritage
Quick Hitter: Powerful runner with good acceleration and great straight-line speed.
Recruiting: Florida and Georgia are his biggest offers with Alabama likely pulling the trigger soon. UF and UGA lead.

  • Stacey Coley – WR – 6-0/170 – Northeast
Quick Hitter: Silky smooth wideout that makes it look effortless. Quick off the ball, great body control, and good after the catch.
Recruiting: Florida and Florida State have offered. He'll be very highly recruited.

  • Jordan Cunningham – WR – 6-2/190 – University
Quick Hitter: Strong wideout that uses his body well, knows how to go get the football, and someone who can be a number one on the next level.
Recruiting: Over 30 offers reported by his coach including Florida, Florida State, and Miami. He grew up a big UM fan.

  • Matthew Thomas – OLB – 6-3/195 – Booker T. Washington
Quick Hitter: A lot of upside here. He is used to playing with his hand down, but will likely become an OLB or rush end out of two-point stance on next level.
Recruiting: Only UCF has offered to this point, he will add ‘big three' down the road.
