South: Good WRs Off the Board

A quartet of talented wide receivers out of the South Region have committed recently and Recruiting Analyst Chad Simmons talks about them here.

Four talented wide receivers out of the South have given a school their pledge over the past week and all do different things well.

  • Chris Brown - 6-3/170 - WR - Hanahan, S.C.-Hanahan
    Committed to: Notre Dame
Quick Hitter: Brown is a long and rangy wideout with good athleticism. He has put up good numbers, he is a consistent performer, and he has very good body control.

  • Nate Cole - 6-2/195 - WR - Memphis, Tn.-Mitchell Road
    Committed to: Cincinnati
Quick Hitter: Cole is one of the better route runners in the South. He really understands his position and he knows how to get open. His speed could hold him back a little, but he will be a dependable receiver for the Bearcats.

  • Amari Cooper - 6-1/185 - WR - Miami, Fla.-Northwestern
    Committed to: Alabama
Quick Hitter: Cooper may not have the elite top end speed, but he has a lot of other things to like. He has strong hands, he has shown he can catch the ball in traffic, and he can play physical.

  • Blake Tibbs - 6-1/170 - WR - Lithonia, Ga.-M.L.K.
    Committed to: Georgia
Quick Hitter: Tibbs has strong hands, good speed, and he could be used as an inside or outside receiver by Georgia. He has really come on this year and he is playing with a lot of confidence.
