Pittman Still 100% Spartan

Whenever a committed four-star recruit takes a visit to a rival school it sends shockwaves across the internet, and that certainly was the case when Michigan State commit Se'Von Pittman showed up on the recruiting list at Ohio State last weekend. Is the Canton McKinley star wavering in his decision to be a Spartan? Not at all, he declared to Scout.com.

Se'Von Pittman is one of the top prospects in Ohio for the class of 2012, and the Canton McKinley four-star defensive end created quite a stir last weekend. Pittman, who committed to Michigan State last summer, visited Ohio State for their game against Colorado last weekend.

Immediately, there were rumors floating that the 6-foot-4, 260-pound, defensive end was rethinking his decision to commit to the Spartans. Scout.com went to Canton McKinley today to get Pittman's thoughts on the Buckeye visit.

"First off, I am still 100% committed to Michigan State and put that out for me," Pittman stated. "(Former teammate) Steve Miller has been wanting me to come down to a game to watch him play all year, so I went last Saturday to see him. I called Ohio State to see if it was alright, and they said it was fine, so I went."

"I'm not thinking of switching to Ohio State at all," he added. "It was great to see Steve play a lot and he did really well. He almost had a sack, and he was ticked off at himself for not getting it. I will be taking my official visit to Michigan State next month with (current teammate) Jermain Edmondson, and we're both looking forward to that."

Pittman and his Canton McKinley teammates will be in action this Thursday night against Canton GlenOak, a game that will be televised by FOX Sports Ohio. GlenOak features Ohio State commit Brionte Dunn.
