Top Kicker Receives UA Honor

Cuyahoga Falls Walsh Jesuit senior kicker Ross Martin has been ranked as the top kicking prospect in America by several ranking experts. His latest honor has been being named as an Under Armour All-American, and he was featured Tuesday in a ceremony at his high school.

When you are ranked as the top kicking prospect in America by several rankings experts, as Ross Martin has, perks come your way. His latest honor was being named an Under Armour All-American.

Martin was featured yesterday in a ceremony at Cuyahoga Falls (OH) Walsh Jesuit, where he received his game jersey.

"It was an incredible experience," Martin said of his Under Armour award. "It was very well run, and I'm so humbled and thrilled to play in the game and compete with the best players in the country."

"I've worked very hard over the past couple years, and this is a huge reward for me," he added.

Martin committed to Duke last summer, choosing the Blue Devil program over such schools as Iowa State, Texas, Northwestern, Pittsburgh, Harvard, and many others.

The Under Armour All-American game will be played January 5th, 2012 in St. Petersburgh, Florida. The game will be televised live by ESPN.
