Live Evaluation: J.J. Green

KINGSLAND, Ga. – First things first, overlook J.J. Green's size. This young man is a football player and Recruiting Analyst Chad Simmons saw that firsthand over the weekend. Simmons breaks Green's game down here.

Prospect: J.J. Green
Location: Kingsland, Ga.
High School: Camden County
Position: Cornerback
Size: 5-8/170
Class: 2013
Recruiting Notes: No offers for Green yet, but he is hearing from schools like Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, and South Carolina. His early favorites are Florida and Florida State.

Live Evaluation: Green may be on the smaller side and secondary coaches love those longer and bigger corners, but Green is a football players who plays bigger than he is.

He can play on or off coverage, he closes on the ball very well, he is a strong tackler, and he is always looking to compete against the best. Sure, his size could limit him somewhat, but he plays bigger, he plays physical, and he constantly makes plays.

He has very good feet, he knows the game of football, he plays with confidence, and he has very good ball skills. He can be a return man as well as a corner on the next level.

Overall, Green is one some will doubt because of his height, but Scout believes he is a player. He is tough, he has the attitude you look for, he can cover, and he can flat out play. Expect more and more interest to come his way as schools get a good look at him.
