Tysean Holloway (6'/190) has had quite the career at Asheville High School. The senior running back has racked up some impressive numbers during that time. In two and a half years, Holloway, has run for nearly 4,500 yards and 63 touchdowns.
"I am taking my official visit next weekend to Duke," he said. "If everything goes as planned, I will commit then."
Holloway received an offer from the Blue Devils on September 2. Duke has since made him a major priority.
"They offered me right after the Tuscola game and have really recruited me hard from that point on," said Holloway.
One person has really impressed the Asheville star throughout the recruiting process.
"Coach Cutcliffe has really made a strong impact on my life," he said. "Coaches always talk about helping teams improve, but he has taken great initiative and really helped the program improve."
The academic side of Duke is also very appealing to Holloway.
"You get one of the best degrees in the country when you go to Duke. It would just be really tough to pass up that opportunity," Holloway said.
Holloway has helped Asheville to a 7-0 record this season. He has rushed for 897 yards and 17 touchdowns. The senior running back also has over 200 yards receiving, two touchdown catches, and one touchdown pass. He will graduate in December and start his college career in January.
