6'9 Junior Has BCS Interest

Center Grove (Ind.) junior tight end Nate Wozniak is a great sized prospect who has heard from a number of schools thus far, and should increase the number as the process moves along.

The MIC is one of the top conferences in the Midwest for high school football, and Center Grove is one of those high schools that has produced a good amount of college talent over the last few years. In the 2013 class, they certainly have one who passes the eye test in 6'9, 245-lb tight end Nate Wozniak.

"Our team's doing alright. We're 5-3 now," Wozniak explained. "We started the season pretty well, it seemed like, but we've been struggling in the conference season, but our young guys are stepping up and making big plays on offense and defense."

A big target, Wozniak is more than happy to play his role, even if that does not mean a ton of receptions.

"I play tight end for our team. We play the Wing-T, so we run the ball a lot. We're heavy run. We don't pass that much, but when we do pass, I'm one of the guys on the team. I'm leading the team in receptions right now, but we spread the ball around."

Colleges are just beginning to make contact, but a good number of BCS schools are turning up the heat.

"I've gotten a decent amount of mail, but I have not been invited to any games yet. Iowa, Iowa State, I got camp information from Duke. I think I've gotten some stuff from Wisconsin and I think that's it."

Wozniak also plays varsity basketball, but says he is not receiving much recruiting attention on the hardwood just yet.
