Players on the rise

Several players have performed exceptionally well this fall. Andrew Bone takes a look at 10 players in the state of Alabama who should climb the charts in post-season rankings.

T.J. Yeldon

Schools of interest: Auburn commitment
Quick Hitter: The Daphne running back is playing at another level. He's certainly playing like a five-star and pushing five-star quarterback Jameis Winston for this year's Mr. Football. He has helped Daphne to an undefeated record and No. 1 ranking in Class 6A.
Bone's July Ranking: No. 5

Tyler Hayes

Schools of interest: Alabama commitment
Quick Hitter: This 6-foot-3, 220-pound running back/linebacker never comes off the field. The Thomasville athlete is playing incredibly well on both sides of the ball, also the kicker and kick returner. He does just about everything for the No. 1 ranked team in Class 4A. He is rated right outside the National 100, but a five-star caliber player.

Ryan Anderson

Schools of interest: Alabama commitment
Quick Hitter: Anderson is on pace to record 20 sacks this year in Class 6A. The Daphne defensive end/linebacker is a physical specimen and plays with a high motor. He plays with a mean streak and leads a vicious Trojan defense. In any other year he would be a top five player in the state He is easily pushing for top 10.

Darius Philon

Schools of interest: Alabama commitment
Quick Hitter: Philon built a reputation as a pass rushing specialist, but the Vigor defensive end is just as good against the run. Philon is an aggressive player with excellent speed. He has a very high ceiling.

Jamichael Winston

Schools of interest: Arkansas commitment
Quick Hitter: Winston missed his entire junior season with an injury. He has returned to full force and having a great senior year. The 6-foot-6, 230-pound defensive end has a lot of potential with his size, wingspan and speed. The Vigor athlete has the ability to become an All-SEC player.

Kivon Coman

Schools of interest: Mississippi State commitment
Quick Hitter: Coman emerged during the summer when he demonstrated his next level ability at the Mississippi State camp. The Florence cornerback is a physical defensive back who is a vocal leader on the field. He has very good speed and athleticism.

Brandon Burks

Schools of interest: Troy commitment
Quick Hitter: The 5-foot-10, 190-pound running back has developed into one of the premier backs in the state. He is tough between the tackles with homerun speed. The Danville athlete is putting up gaudy numbers this season.

Cody Core

Schools of interest: Troy commitment
Quick Hitter: Core is an in-state wide receiver who hasn't receive enough attention. He is a physical player with great hands and speed. The Auburn High School prospect is also an impressive downfield blocker.

Cameron Broadnax

Schools of interest: Wide open, Samford offer.
Quick Hitter: The 6-foot-3, 195-pound wide receiver missed his junior season after transferring from Homewood and ruled ineligible. The Hueytown prospect is really comfortable on the field catching passes from five-star quarterback Jameis Winston. He has good hands, runs good routes and goes up for the ball.

Paul Davis

Schools of interest: Arkansas State, Kentucky, UAB
Quick Hitter: The Mountain Brook offensive tackle tore his ACL and MCL during the first round of the state playoffs a year ago. He is back to 100-percent and having a great season for the Spartans. He has helped Mountain Brook to an undefeated record.
