Donald Hawkins is still an Oklahoma State commitment and will not be visiting any other schools. That's what the offensive tackle prospect from Northwest Mississippi Community College said Friday morning after reading a story on Scout.com's Kansas State site that said he wasn't 100 percent committed to Oklahoma State.
The 6-5, 320-pound Hawkins denies saying he wasn't 100 percent committed to OSU, or even talking to anyone about his visit to Kansas State last weekend. He did, though, say that he made a trip for last weekend's Kansas State-Missouri game.
"I'm still committed to Oklahoma State," Hawkins said. "I talked to some of the OSU coaches earlier this week and they didn't have a problem with me (taking the visit to Kansas State)."
However, Hawkins said that he told the OSU coaching staff that he will not be taking any more officials visits.
"I'm only taking one more visit, and that's to Oklahoma State on Dec. 3," he said.
