Three in the mix for Louisiana's best

It is not only an Alabama-LSU fight for Landon Collins. A third team is in the mix and you can get the latest here.

"Texas has really jumped into the race and they are a school that has everything I am looking for. They know how to get defensive backs to the NFL, they are strong in the Broadcasting field, and I like their history," said Landon Collins.

If the Longhorns want to land the number one prospect in Louisiana, they will have to beat Alabama and LSU. Those two have been at the top since the beginning.

"I have always liked Alabama and LSU and I have been getting to know their coaches for a couple of years. I have visited each school, I feel good when I am there, and I like what each school has to offer."

Collins has spent a few Saturdays in Baton Rouge already this fall and he will be in Tuscaloosa soon.

"I have been to some good home games at LSU this year and I ready to get over to Alabama on November 5. That will be my official visit to Alabama and I am looking forward to it."

After his visit to Alabama, Texas could be next.

"I will probably visit Texas officially during the season and then visit LSU officially after my season is over," said Collins. "I will be committing to someone at the Under Armour All-America game in January, so all of my visits will be taken before then."

He says his official visits will be important.

"It will be that one last time to sit down and see what the coaches are all about. Trust it the biggest factor for me, so I want to make sure I know who to trust, because that will help me make my decision."
