Upland (Calif.) pair coming in

There were just a few official visitors confirmed for this coming weekend until some names started to float around that were supposed to be coming in. Big Red Report was able to confirm two of them on the phone this morning. It was on the second phone call though that one of the visitors said that he was bringing a teammate along with him as another official visitor.

The Nebraska official visitor list for the Northwestern game weekend was sure to grow. Last night, Big Red Report confirmed that Thomas Brown was set to visit Nebraska this weekend. Before the story could run there were more names being passed around as possible visitors.

This morning Big Red Report was able to confirm that Upland (Calif.) team mates, Christian Powell a fullback and Marques Mosley a defensive back/wide receiver, will also be in town this weekend for the game. The two of them will be arriving on Saturday morning.

"Yes sir I will be there this weekend," Powell said. "I will get in on Saturday around noon and I don't fly out until Sunday afternoon."

The offer from Nebraska to Powell is fairly new. He picked it up roughly around 10/20. The Nebraska offer was his first, but he has since picked up another offer from Washington.

Nebraska already had an offer out on the table for Upland (Calif.) wide receiver, Kenny Lawler. When Powell was asked if Lawler was visiting Nebraska this weekend he said, "No, but I am bringing another teammate with me."

"Marques Mosley is a safety or a wide receiver and he is coming on the official visit with me. I believe that he picked up an offer from Nebraska a couple of days ago, but I am not totally sure."

Publisher Josh Harvey Note:

I talked with Kenny Lawler's father last night Kenny Sr. He said the Lawler will not be taking a visit to Nebraska until likely after the season - meaning he won't see a game here. He is scheduled for an official this weekend to Washington.
