Honolulu (Hawaii) Punahou defensive end Luke Kaumatule suffered a torn ACL at the start of his senior season. The four-star Stanford commit is already on the rehab trail and talked about his progress.

"I have been doing great," said Kaumatule. "I have been working with the rehab arc machine, last month I was able to max out the weight on the machine."

It hasn't been all hard work for the 6'7" 230lbs prospect. Two weeks ago he headed to Palo Alto on an official visit to check out the program first hand.

"The Stanford campus was great," said Kaumatule. "The vibe around the school, the students and the team were all great."

Kaumatule is committed to Stanford, but left a little wiggle room in the process for other schools.

"I am still committed to Stanford, but I plan on taking visits," said Kaumatule. "I am thinking that I will head to UCLA, California and Washington."

Kaumatule talked about the reasons he plans on visiting each of the schools on his list.

"UCLA… I like the education there," said Kaumatule. "There are four other Hawaii guys going there, also some volleyball players from my school are going there. My cousin went there, so I feel like I would know people."

"Cal… Another great education," said Kaumatule. "I had a cousin go there as well, Tyson Alualu. He was drafted by the Jaguars after college."

"Washington… Again a good education, all my schools are great academically," said Kaumatule. "Coach Nansen has been onto me for a while. I have family there that I could lean on."

Kaumatule will evaluate all of the programs after he takes his visits. But for now, he is focused on his rehab and the Stanford Cardinal.

"Because I am committed to Stanford, I am going through their rehab plan," said Kaumatule. "They have a player there (Charlie Hopkins) who went through the same thing last year with his ACL and I am on the same plan as him."
