DeMichael Jackson led Jeffersontown to a 34-13 win in the first round of the playoffs last night. Jackson rushed for 242 yards and five touchdowns in the victory.

Trinity dominated Simon Kenton in the opening round of the playoffs last night, 72-0 behind quarterback Travis Wright. Wright threw for 278 yards and four touchdowns in the win.

Junior quarterback Robert Scholtz threw for 248 yards and five touchdowns in leading Kentucky Country Day to a 57-26 win over Fulton County. In the game, Scholtz broke the single season school record for touchdown passes with 31 on the season.

Senior running back J.J. Jude broke the career state rushing record last night on the way to a 63-20 win for Johnson Central over Holmes High. Jude rushed for 437 yards and six touchdowns to break Derek Homer's record. Jude now has 8539 career yards.

Patrick Towles only played one quarter Friday night in his team's 63-0 victory over Boyd County. In that time he was seven of eight passing for 122 yards and four touchdowns.

Drew Barker

Drew Barker led his team to a 28-7 win over East Jessamine High. Barker threw for 229 yards and two touchdown passes and also rushed 15 times for 80 yards and another score.

Bowling Green cruised to a 57-6 win over Apollo in Friday night's opening round of the playoffs. Senior quarterback Scooter Hollis completed eight of nine passes for 270 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 42 yards and another touchdown.

Sophomore receiver Fant caught three passes in a 57-6 win over Apollo. In those three receptions, Fant had two touchdowns for 183 yards.

William Johnson

Lafayette defeated Dixie Heights 28-14 Friday night behind a big rushing effort from senior running back Bubba Johnson. Johnson rushed for 218 yards on 28 carries and three touchdowns.
