Looking Ahead to 2012
Aaron Murray will be the starting quarterback at Georgia as long as he's on campus. At tight end, Charles will be the starter if he doesn't leave for the NFL in the winter. Lynch will fight with Rome to step into the starting role in 2012 if Charles leaves - Dean Legge, Dawg Post
Who is Returning?
Hutson Mason is currently in the same class as Murray, so you have to wonder when he's going to redshirt... because I can't see how that won't happen at some point. Mason is firmly the backup, so the program will have to juggle how he will be convinced to stick around while he's in the same class as Murray. Lynch and Rome give the Bulldogs different skill sets for the coming seasons. If Charles leaves the tight end spot will be an interesting position battle to watch in the spring. As an aside, you have to wonder if Fauta is truly a quarterback in Georgia's system, and if so why he'd want to come to Georgia with Brice Ramsey and another 2013 quarterback on the way the year after he signed. He may get a look at QB, but he won't stay there long, in my view, if he signed with the Bulldogs - Dean Legge, Dawg Post
Bauta is a big athlete who is able to throw the football. There is no question that Bauta could play a number of positions on the next level, but he wants to play quarterback. UGA had him in camp over the summer and they offered him as an athlete. Linebacker was a position discussed there and Quarterback has been mentioned before as well. He is all about quarterback though, so if he chooses UGA, he will be expecting a legit shot to compete at that position first. He is a physical quarterback, he is Tebow-like on tape where he played a lot in a zone-read offense and he is not afraid to stick his shoulder in there. He has a solid arm, but he is athletic, he has good size, and he would bring versatility - Scout.com's Chad Simmons
Where does Georgia Stand?
It is hard to say just where Georgia is on his list right now. They have to be high though because he is an early graduate and this is his first official visit, so with his decision coming in six weeks or less, UGA is in this. He visited UCF unofficially and took a look at the Knights not too long ago, but it appears they are on the outside looking in right now. Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Purdue, and West Virginia are other schools he named when asked late in October. He recently sent new senior video to 60 schools, so he is looking to see who is interested - Scout.com's Chad Simmons
