My First College Game

2012 CB Rico McWilliams will head to South Carolina this weekend to see the Gamecocks take on the Gators. This will be his first trip to the school he committed to but it's even more than that. This game will be McWilliams' first experience in a college stadium.

He's watched hundreds of college games on TV. He will become part of a college team in just a matter of months. But, Rico McWilliams has never attended a college game in person. This Saturday, that will change.

"I'm going to South Carolina this weekend. I'm going to be there for the Florida game. This is my first time visiting South Carolina and it's actually the first college game I've ever been to. I can't believe it."

McWilliams is looking forward to spending more time with the coaches he committed to.

"It's going to be great to talk to them even more in person. I talk to South Carolina a lot so I feel like I already know them well but this will be in person and even better. I can't wait to watch them play."

McWilliams says he continues to hear from other programs despite being solidly committed to South Carolina.

"I hear a lot from the coaches at Vanderbilt. They want me to get over there for a visit. I may take an official just to see it because I really haven't been on trips. I am also hearing from Nebraska and they want me to take an official there. I've heard that stadium is amazing."

In the meantime, however, McWilliams is thinking about the school he plans to stay committed to. He will be there Saturday to see the first live college football game of his life.
