Spartans Looking at Taco

One of the hot names in the class of 2013 is Pickerington (Ohio) Central defensive end Taco Charlton. What interest has the Spartans show? We get a quick update from the Ohio defensive end.

Last Saturday would have been a great time for Pickerington (Ohio) Central defensive end Taco Charlton to visit East Lansing and the campus of Michigan State.

However, Charlton and his teammates were busy last Saturday fighting to reach this weekend's fourth round playoff game to earn a chance to reach the state finals on December 3-rd.

What has Charlton heard from the Spartans?

"I've talked with coach (Mike) Tressel about Michigan State," said Charlton. "We'll have to see how things work out there. They came and saw me practice awhile back so I know they have some interest.

During his conversations with the Spartans linebacker coach, Charlton says the Spartans would really like to get him to campus.

"Michigan State says they like me a lot," said Charlton. "They would really like for me to come up for a campus visit and we'll have to wait and see when I can do that."

With the success shown by the Spartans the past two seasons, Charlton is a player Mark Dantonio and his staff will work to get on campus in the near future. Until then, Charlton hopes his season has two more weeks in it.
