Upland (Calif.) three-star fullback Christian Powell has had a lot of excitement during his senior season. Not only is his team undefeated going into the playoffs, but things have really started to heat up for him on the recruiting front.

Powell received his most recent offer last week from Colorado.

"I was pretty excited," said Powell "They have been keeping in close contact with me every since they offered me."

The other schools Powell holds offers from are Arkansas State, Nebraska, Washington and Texas A&M.

Powell discussed which of those programs have risen to the top of his list.

"My top three are Texas A&M, Nebraska and Washington, because they are the best programs," said Powell.

Those three schools are also the programs that Powell has arranged to take official trips too.

Powell took an official to Nebraska last month and travelled to Texas A&M last weekend, and this weekend Powell is headed up to Washington.

"My recent trip to Texas A&M was great," said Powell. "It was fun seeing the school in person."

The game day environment at College Station impressed Powell.

"The stadium gets really involved in their games," said Powell. "Going to the game was awesome. I also had a chance to meet the players and talk with a bunch of coaches."

With a final three in mind, Powell discussed the factors that will go into making the decision of where he will play football.

"Location doesn't really matter to me," said Powell. "I am looking for a program that I feel comfortable with, and have a good relationship with the coaches and the players. Also somewhere that I can come in and play at right away."
