Butt Visits Rivals Back to Back

Pickerington North (Ohio) junior DE Jake Butt visits Michigan and Ohio State in consecutive weeks.

The last two weeks, Jake Butt has seen two close Big Ten battles, first seeing Penn State at Ohio State, then turning around and seeing the Buckeyes play at Michigan.

"It was a great experience," the 6'6, 225-lb junior defensive end said. "I got to see Michigan-Ohio State. That's always a good game to come down to and Michigan pulled off a big win."

He added, "It was amazing. We got to run down on the field after the game and see the fans, see the players and see the emotion in all their faces and see the excitement after such a big win and it was great to be a part of."

Butt now stands at ten offers, including Iowa, Northwestern, Syracuse, UCLA, and more. Will Michigan be a part of that list?

"I talked to the defensive line coach and my recruiting coordinator. They said they like me on film and they're going to keep talking to me as the process goes on."

The week before, Butt was in Columbus and he says it was a great experience despite the outcome of the game.

"I saw them play Penn State. I liked it down there. It was an unfortunate loss for the Buckeyes, but it was a good experience."

Having visited Tennessee and Northwestern as well, Butt's schedule has been a busy one, and although football season is over, he still plans to have a full plate.

"I'm starting up basketball now, so I'll focus on that and improving my strength, trying to get a little bigger for next season."
