South: Scout100 Uncommitted Prospects

Nine of the five-star prospects out of the South are still open and 12 of the top 100 remain uncommitted just over two months before Signing Day. Get the latest on that group here.

The top prospect in the South is John Theus and he is committed to the University of Georgia. After Theus, many of the best in the South are still taking visits, still researching different schools, and still working to make their decisions.

Here's the latest on those in the top 100 that are still open.

  • Keith Marshall - 5-star RB - 5-11/193 - Raleigh, N.C.-Millbrook
Quick Hitter: Marshall just completed his final official visit this past weekend and he is set to announce his decision on December 6. Clemson, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Notre Dame, and South Carolina are the finalists.

  • Quay Evans - 5-star DT - 6-2/318 - Morton, Ms. - Morton
Quick Hitter: Ole Miss has been considered the leader by most from the beginning because of his early commitment to the Rebels, but Alabama and Mississippi State are currently involved as well Odds are he stays in state and signs with Ole Miss or Mississippi State.

  • Avery Young - 5-star OT - 6-6/287 - Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. - Palm Beach Gardens
Quick Hitter: Young has taken official visits to Alabama, Auburn, and Florida already. He has an official visit to Georgia scheduled for December 9 and the fifth one likely won't be taken until January. Young plans to commit on Signing Day.

  • Landon Collins - 5-star S - 6-0/203 - Geismar, La. - Dutchtown
Quick Hitter: It has been a two school race for some time and this one should be over soon. It will be Alabama or LSU for Collins. He plans to announce his decision at the Under Armour All-America game on January 5.

  • Nelson Agholor - 5-star S - 6-1/185 - Tampa, Fla. - Berkeley Prep
Quick Hitter: Notre Dame got Agholor on campus for an official visit when they hosted USC this fall, so the Irish are in the mix, but many feel they are trailing the Florida Gators. UF could be the school everyone else is chasing.

  • Kwon Alexander - 5-star OLB - 6-2/210 - Oxford, Ala. - Oxford
Quick Hitter: Auburn hosted Alexander for an official visit over the weekend and he has taken official visits to Florida State and LSU already as well. Alabama is another school very much in the mix and he has listed Oregon in the past. Not many elite prospects get out of Alabama. He will announce his decision on Signing Day.

  • Jordan Jenkins - 5-star DE - 6-3/245 - Hamilton, Ga. - Jenkins County
Quick Hitter: Jenkins has taken all five of his official visits and Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee remain in the race. Alabama and Florida have been on top for some time though. He plans to make his decision early in January.

  • Channing Ward - 5-star DE - 6-4/265 - Aberdeen, Ms. - Aberdeen
Quick Hitter: Auburn has received the only official visit to date, but of course Ole Miss and Mississippi State are schools he is very familiar with. LSU is another school he has listed for some time. Ward will commit at the Under Armour All-America game or later in January.

  • Tracy Howard - 5-star CB - 6-0/175 - Miramar, Fla. - Miramar
Quick Hitter: Odds are high that Howard stays in his home state to play college football. Early on, some felt Florida had the lead and maybe that Miami was a real player, but Florida State could be in the driver's seat right now. Alabama, LSU, and some others have been mentioned as possible suitors as well.

  • Josh Harvey-Clemons - 4-star OLB - 6-5/205 - Valdosta, Ga. - Lowndes
Quick Hitter: Georgia is set to host Harvey-Clemons on the weekend of December 10 and that is the only official visit scheduled for now. It appears FSU is now on the outside looking in with Alabama and Florida being in his top three with Georgia. He'd like to decide at the Army All-American game if he is ready.

  • Noor Davis - 4-star DE - 6-4/225 - Leesburg, Fla. - Leesburg
Quick Hitter: Davis is still committed to Stanford, but he has taken official visits to Auburn, Florida, and USC as well. He is considered a "soft" commitment, but Stanford appears to still have a good grasp on this Scout100 prospect.

  • Jonathan Bullard - 4-star DE - 6-4/250 - Shelby, N.C. - Crest
Quick Hitter: Bullard has gotten quiet lately. The main schools remain the same with Clemson and Florida being up there and South Carolina is in the mix as well. His teammate Rhaheim Ledbetter is committed to Florida and he is good friends with Clemson commit, Carlos Watkins.
