"Notre Dame was there," Centerville coach Ron Ullery said. "I know Notre Dame and Northwestern were both at his house Monday. Now that they can come into the schools again and talk to him, it changes (recruiting). Now that their seasons are over, it's a steady stream of people coming in."
The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Odenigbo, who is rated as Scout.com's No. 4 outside linebacker in the class, is set to announce his college decision Jan. 7, two days after he plays in the Under Armour All-American Game.
In the meantime, Odenigbo is trying to finish up his recruitment.
He already made official visits to Notre Dame and Stanford, and he has one set for Northwestern this weekend.
"The last time I talked to him about it, nothing had changed," Ullery said. "He was talking about the same four or five schools. He's going to Northwestern this weekend. Ohio State called about him last night and when they got done with me, they were going to call him."
Odenigbo has also remained level-headed about his recruitment, which has impressed Ullery.
"He's handled it as well as a 17- or 18-year-old kid can handle all the attention," he said. "You have to be a special kid to stay humble through that process."
