Jamal Marcus knows of three official visits

The Old North State has been a hot bed of talent over the years and this year is one of the best in the last five years. D.J. Humphries, Rhaheim Ledbetter, Jonathan Bullard, Keith Marshall garner most of the attention but Jamal Marcus from Hillside High School warrants the attention.

There has been a ongoing debate as to how big Marcus actually is and the Durham (NC) standout put the debate to rest as he is 6'2 and 226-pounds. Marcus holds offers from Auburn, East Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Ohio State, USC, Clemson, Duke, North Carolina State, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest to name a few.

One team that has been on the radar for sometime is the University of Florida and linebacker coach D.J. Durkin checked in on the Hillside standout.

"He came earlier last week to my school," Jamal Marcus said. "We had a chance to sit down with my coach and talk about coming in and playing and helping the Gators. Coach Durkin thinks I can come in and be a really big help. I am probably a bigger linebacker for them in that defense. Coach is a real good guy and he has been with the program and just a real down earth and good coach."

With countless offers at this time, Marcus knows of only three official visits he will take with Florida, North Carolina and East Carolina.
