MSU Dream School For Jeppesen

With the success Michigan State has enjoyed since Mark Dantonio took over the program, many high school players in Michigan have aspirations of playing for the Green & White. One of those is Nate Jeppesen, an offensive lineman in the class of 2013. We get the latest from Jeppesen about his interest in MSU.

This past summer found Portage (Mich.) Central offensive lineman Nate Jeppesen camping at Michigan State. Only a member of the class of 2013, Jeppesen has already picked up two offers (Central & Western Michigan) and is hopeful others will soon be looking his way.

One of those programs is Michigan State. A school Jeppesen has very high interest in attending. What have the Spartans been saying?

"They have not really said anything as of right now," said Jeppesen. "I've gone to a few games and they check in with me every once in awhile. Coach (Mark) Staten is my recruiting coach and they are recruiting me as a guard or center."

What does Jeppesen feel he needs to do to open the eyes of the Spartans coaching staff?

"I feel I need to just keep working hard," said Jeppesen. "I need to show them what I've got and then hope for the best."

As for the reasons of high interest in the Spartans program, Jeppesen has several.

"I just love Michigan State," said Jeppesen. "I love the tradition and the game day atmosphere. I just love it."

If the Spartans were to offer would Jeppesen make an instant commitment?

"I would have to think about it," said Jeppesen. "However, they would be one of my favorite schools and hard to say no to."
