MS/AL All-Star: Adarrius Perkins

Practices began today for All-Stars from Mississippi and Alabama in anticipation of Saturday's border war. Mississippi State commitment Adarrius Perkins spent some time at free safety during the first day of practice. Perkins is eager to see what the week has in store.

"It's been good," said Perkins. "I have been chilling and having fun with my boys.

"We have been running around here making plays and just having fun."

Adarrius looks forward to measuring himself against his All-Star peers.

"I am enjoying getting out here and competing with the best players in the state," said Perkins. "I am just enjoying showing my talent."

The south Mississippi standout committed to Mississippi State a few weeks back and he is doing what he can to spread the Bulldogs' message during All-Star week.

"I am trying to see what's up with everybody and see what they are going to do," said Adarrius. "I am trying to persuade them a little bit."

Perkins has some help in his quest to add to the Bulldogs' in state recruiting haul.

"I know all of the other guys," said Perkins. "It's been good being around them and getting to know who I am going to be with for the next few years.

"They are good people and I am getting along with all of them."

Adarrius reports that he has played at both safety spots and at rover. He is eager to play which ever spot will help Mississippi earn a victory.
