"It's not been the best kicking conditions," said Devon after Tuesday's practices. "I didn't let it bother me and I just did my best."
Bell is optimistic about his team's chances this weekend.
"I feel like things are really going good," said Devon. "I think we have a good team and hopefully we can go get the win."
The Warren Central standout reports that he made the rounds today to check in with his fellow Mississippi State commitments during the practice sessions.
"I have been talking to them all day," said Devon. "I have been talking to them and just playing around with them.
"We're getting to know each other real good.
"I feel like we have a real strong class and I feel like we are going to accomplish alot at Mississippi State.
"I hope this week brings us closer together as a unit."
Bell is grateful to have the chance to play alongside his future teammates and commitments to other programs as they unite in the name of state pride.
"A win would mean the world to me," said Devon. "Our high school team didn't do real well this year.
"This would really end my senior season on a good note."
