York Visiting Utah This Weekend

RB recruit Kelvin York will take his official to Utah this weekend hoping to find answers to his questions, all while narrowing down his choices before December 21st.

Kelvin York is very excited about his trip to Utah this weekend, but the visit for the recently de-committed JUCO is all about business as he narrows down his list of potential schools.

Wednesday, December 21st is early signing day for junior college recruits such as York who hope to enroll in time for spring ball, which means the highly sought after running back has to find answers to his remaining questions quickly.

"Would I be comfortable living there? Will I fit in there? I don't know much about Utah so that's what I'm looking for this weekend."

Kelvin's biggest concern with wherever he decides to play ball is how well he fits in with the players, the community, and overall the coaches.

"Above playing time or anything else my relationship with the coaches is the most important thing to me."

Aside from Utah, York is hearing heavily from a couple of other Pac-12 schools including Cal, who he says he's gaining interest in every day.

Kelvin wasn't afraid to list Washington, Utah, and Miami as his top-3 schools right now, but says his favorite is "probably Washington at this point because I've been there. That could change after I take this visit to Utah, though, so we'll see what happens."

York hopes to take a visit to Miami in January, even if he decides to commit to another school. Ultimately, though, he says that visit will depend on the coaches and whether or not they'll allow it.

Surgery on York's torn meniscus is scheduled for December 14th, but Kelvin believes with rehab he'll be ready to go by the time spring practices begin. He is set to graduate this semester and will be able to enroll at his new school immediately.
