Nance and 4-star teammate set up visit

Nebraska will host a pair of Texas high school products next weekend. Come inside to get all the details.

Euless Trinity linebacker Brian Nance saw his season come to an end too soon. The Trojans, with a 12-0 record, lost to Arlington Martin two days after Christmas in the 3rd round of the Texas 5A playoffs. This just one year after losing in the state championship as the No.1 team in the nation. This year, they were No. 6 in the nation when they lost.

"Yeah it was tough, but it's alright now," said Nance who is setting up his visits. "I have college now. I'm just looking ahead."

Nance will be visiting Lincoln on December 16th. Despite commitments from Thomas Brown and Michael Rose, the Huskers are still chasing after linebackers, especially a projected outside backer.

"First it's Nebraska. Then I will be going to California to visit USC. Then to Baylor and Arkansas," said Nance. "Just looking at the facilities at Nebraska on my computer and from what I have heard from the coaches, I just really need to see it for myself. It sounds great."

Nance admits that he's excited for the process to end, saying it will be fun to make a decision and that the weight of that decision has been stressful.

"I'm going to make the decision at the Army All-American game," said Nance who will still take visits after his decision.

Even bigger news to hit Big Red Report could be what Nance shared with us tonight.

Accompanying him on his official visit will be 4-star defensive end Polo Manukainiu. The recent Oklahoma decommitment is rated the No. 23 player in the country at his position.

The Sooners backed off their offer after Manukainiu started to shop himself around.

The senior has a double digit offer list that includes: Oregon, Miami, Texas A&M, and Arkansas.
