Beach QB Nabs SEC Offer

Salem High (Virginia Beach, Va) 2013 quarterback Bucky Hodges nabs his first offer from the SEC.

Bucky Hodges, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound signal caller for Salem high (Virginia Beach, Va.), informed in an earlier interview that the offers would start to coming his way. This week he adds Vanderbilt to the list, his first offer from the Southeastern Conference.

"I like it a lot. I like the offense they run and the way they are rebuilding," said Hodges. "Of course the SEC is always the best, so I like that, but at the same time the ACC is coming up there," he adds.

Vandy puts his offer list at five along with James Madison, East Carolina, Virginia Tech, Virginia. The junior quarterback is also getting looks from the likes of Tennessee, West Virginia, Penn State, Florida, Florida State, Texas, North Carolina, Oregon and Ohio State.

"I am looking at pro-style quarterback and where I can run the ball as well."

Hodges, who has visited Florida and North Carolina already, is planning on taking a trip to West Virginia in February followed by Virginia Tech. He said he will try to get to a North Carolina basketball game.
