Grogan Down to Two

Morgan City Central Catholic HS (La) all-state safety Lloyd Grogan has two firm offers and plans on taking visits to both schools in January. The "6-1", 206-pound senior had received attention from programs in the SEC and Big 12 this summer, but two state schools are making a strong push for his services.

"Louisiana Tech and UL are really making a strong push for me right now," Grogan stated. "I had coaches from both schools come to my house last week and I'm going on visits to both in January. I'm going to Louisiana Tech on the 14th and UL on the 21st."

Grogan mentioned he had two in home visits from Louisiana Tech and UL, which coaches are recruiting him?

"Coach Eggen from Louisiana Tech and Coach Rodrigue from UL," Lloyd mentioned. "Both schools are offering me at the safety position, and I can play in either system. Coach Rodrigue told me they really want me to be part of their program and I've visited up at UL several times during the football season. It's a good program and Coach Hudspeth is turning things around and changing the culture up there in Lafayette."

Lloyd Grogan was a member of the 2A All-State Defense in 2010 and he had a number of schools interested in him this summer including Mississippi State and Baylor. Is Grogan looking at any other visit in January?

"I'm going to leave several visits open to see what program calls me late to come in for a visit," Grogan stated. "I haven't set any other visits besides Louisiana Tech and UL, but I'm certainly going to listen when someone comes by or calls me. But Louisiana Tech and UL are the two programs at the top of my list."
