Cooper Meets Coach Phillips

After receiving a Kentucky offer, Coffeyville Community College (Kansas) LB David Cooper has an in-home with Joker Phillips.

Yesterday, Coffeyville Community College linebacker David Cooper reported that Kentucky was the latest school to offer him, joining the likes of Indiana, Iowa State and others.

Today, the Wildcats' recruitment of the 6'0, 230-lb prospect took another few steps forward.

"Kentucky head coach [Joker] Phillips just left my house," Cooper said. "I'm going on my official visit on Friday."

Cooper has already taken his official to Indiana, a school he committed to before re-opening his recruitment.

He says today's in-home was eye opening and put Kentucky in good position with him.

"I loved him," he said of Phillips. "He's a great guy with great character."

No other visits are currently scheduled, but Cooper says he is still fielding interest from Tennessee, TCU and others.
