Big Ten Offer for Natter

Milton (Wisc.) 2013 DE A.J. Natter discusses his first offer, which came from Purdue.

Milton High junior A.J. Natter has the 6'6, 230-lb frame and tenacity schools look for in a defensive end and that's part of why his recruitment has begun to take off.

On Tuesday night, it got going in a major way, as he picked up his first offer, and a BCS one to boot.

"Purdue just offered me," he reported. "I'm ecstatic right now. Coach Monitar told me once I gave him a call. We are going to keep in contact and see what happens."

Natter would like to visit West Lafayette, but nothing is set yet. There are other schools interested, including another Big Ten school who has been in touch.

"I have been in contact with Coach Papuchis from Nebraska on a weekly basis. I have been calling him and he said that they are highly interested as well."

In addition to those schools, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Georgia Tech and others have sent mail or shown interest.

This season, Natter earned 1st team All Conference, and 1st team All Area honors after recording 74 total tackles, seven sacks, four forced fumbles, one blocked kick, and one blocked punt.
