Stanford Excellence Speeds Up Davidson

Eden Prairie (Minn.) four-star offensive tackle Nick Davidson simply couldn't wait and committed to Stanford

After considering everything the many schools who have offered him put on the table, Nick Davidson decided that Stanford was the place and no other visits needed to be taken.

"He committed to Stanford last night," his mother, Judi Davidson explained. "He had planned on taking all his visits up until yesterday because they all had awesome coaches, football and academics, but he told us last night he didn't want to waste anyone's time and was ready to commit to Stanford."

Academics and the coaching staff had much to do with the decision to commit now rather than wait through four more visits.

"He wants to major in some kind of engineering, mechanical or bio medical possibly. He loves what Coach Shaw is building at Stanford and didn't want to wait any longer."

Mom says the decision was not easy, but it was carefully thought out and this was the best decision for Nick, and his parents are definitely behind it.

"We (Dad, Mom and Nick) have had several deep family conversations regarding his college future over the last week and he came to us after lots of consideration with a decision."
