UA Game: 4-star DL sets visit to Miami

Leonard Williams is one of the top defensive linemen at the Under Armour Game this week and Scout caught up with him after the day three practice to discuss the latest.

Leonard Williams had an outstanding senior season at Mainland High in Daytona Beach, leading them to the state semi-finals.

Williams, 6-foot-4 and 270 pounds, is now being recruited nationally. He talked about the latest.

"I've only been to Auburn and I set up one to Florida but I missed it because I got caught up with something," Williams said. "I liked Auburn and now I wanna see more schools. I have a visit with Florida State on the 13th and USC on the 20th and Miami on the 27th."

The newest school to that list is Miami, and Williams talked about his interest in the Hurricanes.

"Miami, I had interest in them when I was a sophomore but they kinda fell off so they weren't in my top for awhile. Recently I've been liking them a lot more. I talk to the D-Line coach. They're a good program, and it seems like a good opportunity so I'm gonna go check it out and see. They came to my house, Auburn, Florida, all of them."

The four-star defensive end prospect talked about when he plans on making a final decision and what he's looking for.

"I am making it on signing day. I wanna have a family atmosphere, feel comfortable where I go. I wanna have a good relationship with the coaches and players. And I wanna go where they have good academics and good majors."
