Crawley sets Kansas visit

The recruiting train continues to roll for the Kansas Jayhawks and Head Coach Charlie Weis. Thursday night, four-star cornerback prospect Kenneth Crawley of Washington (D.C.) Woodson High announced via his Twitter account he will visit the Lawrence, Kan. campus next weekend.

Crawley currently holds offers from some of the top football programs in the country, including Arkansas, Clemson, Georgia, Louisville, Michigan, Oklahoma State, South Carolina and Virginia Tech.

As a senior in 2011, the 6-foot-1, 170-pound defensive back recorded 33 tackles and four interceptions for the Warriors. Lining up as a receiver on offense, he hauled in 10 passes for 266 yards and four touchdowns.

The visit from Crawley continues a recent recruiting hot streak by the new coaching staff at Kansas, who in the past two weeks have reeled in three former five-star prospects in transfers Dayne Crist, Jake Heaps and Justin McCay, as well as JUCO defensive linemen Ty McKinney and Keon Stowers, and local receiving standout Tre Parmalee.
